The undersigned voluntarily agrees to participate in the Explore the Hidden Hillside of the Keen Property
Hike, hosted by the Sonoma Ecology Center on December 16, 2024, 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
The undersigned recognizes that Sonoma Ecology Center has not undertaken any duty or responsibility for his or her safety and for the safety of minors and the undersigned agrees to assume full responsibility for all risk of bodily injury, death, disability, and property damage as a result of participating in the Explore the Hidden Hillside of the Keen Property Hike. The undersigned recognizes that there are inherent risks associated with this walk/hike. I am in good health, as is my child, and we are aware that This outing is for experienced hikers only, with difficult to moderate hiking over uneven, steep terrain with no trail. We may pass through brushy areas, with possible exposure to ticks or poison oak. I am wearing appropriate footwear, as is my child, and I have taken other personal precautionary measures, such as wearing sunscreen, long pants, long sleeves, hat, etc. In addition, I have brought enough water for a strenuous & lengthy hike.
I (we), as parent(s) or in Loco Parentis, of the minor, do hereby for my child, myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, release and forever discharge Sonoma Ecology Center and all officers, directors, employees, agents and volunteers or the organization, acting officially or otherwise, from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action which in any way arise from the participation and the participation of the minor in the above noted event.
I understand that I, and all members of my party, must follow all instructions given by the Sonoma Ecology Center staff, including following proper Covid protocols.
I understand that the Sonoma Ecology Center, and all officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers of the organization(s), assume no responsibility for damages to personal property.
By my signature, I hereby state that I understand the risks involved in participating in the Fire Recovery Walk; and willingly and voluntarily accept these risks. By my signature, I hereby surrender and right to seek reimbursement from Sonoma Ecology Center, and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and other agents for injury sustained, to me and/or to my child, and liability incurred during my participation in the activity described above. By my signature, I warrant that I am not relying on any oral representations or statements of inducement apart from the statements made on this form.
