Join Sugarloaf docents on a wildflower walk!
On Friday, April 4, we'll meet at the main parking lot and enjoy the evening along Lower Bald and Stern Trails surrounded by irises, monkey flowers, ceanothus, and a sunset.
Friday, April 11 and Monday, April 14 are mellow mid-morning walks from the main parking lot up Lower Bald Trail and out to the bridge on Meadow Trail, where we'll see flowering grassland species such as lupines and buttercups.
On Friday, April 18, our evening takes us (from the White Barn) on the Meadow-Hillside loop, where you can expect to see a nice sunset along with red larkspurs and flowering madrones.
Tickets are $10 for general audiences, $5 for youth (12-17 year olds; must be accompanied by an adult), students, Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf volunteers, and free for children under 12 years old. Wear layers, comfortable shoes, and depending on whether you're a morning or an evening person, sun protection or bug repellent. Bring at least a quart of water, and if desired, a snack. We invite you to make a day of it by packing a picnic to be enjoyed before or after the outing.
